DENTAL IMPLANTS
A permanent solution that looks and feels like your own tooth.
Single teeth, bridges, and full-arch dental implant solutions in Washington Park.
Dental implants are the closest thing to natural teeth we can give you. They protect neighboring teeth, preserve bone structure, and restore your ability to chew and smile with confidence. Dr. Kyger has advanced training in implant restoration and works with trusted surgical specialists to guide you through the entire process.
THE BASICS
How dental implants work.
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in your jawbone that acts like a natural tooth root. Over a few months, it fuses with the bone in a process called osseointegration. Once it’s solid, we attach a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture on top.
The result is a replacement tooth that stays put, chews like your own tooth, and helps preserve the shape of your face and jaw. With proper care, dental implants can last decades.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE
Dental implant solutions for every situation.
Whether you’re missing one tooth or an entire arch, there’s a dental implant option built for you.
Single dental implant
The gold standard for replacing one missing tooth. A titanium post is placed in the jawbone, fuses with the bone over a few months, then receives a custom crown that matches your natural teeth.
Implant-supported bridge
For three or more missing teeth in a row. Two dental implants support a natural-looking bridge, avoiding stress on your healthy neighboring teeth and preserving the bone underneath.
Implant-supported dentures
Four to six dental implants anchor a full denture in place. No plate over the roof of your mouth, so eating and speaking feel much more natural than with traditional dentures.
Implant-retained dentures
Two or more dental implants let a denture snap securely in place. You can still remove it for cleaning at night, but no slipping or shifting during the day.
Guided placement with 3D imaging
Advanced 3D imaging lets your surgical specialist plan the placement with precision. You'll see exactly where your dental implant will go and how it will support your final restoration.
Same-day options
For qualifying patients, we can coordinate the removal of failing teeth and placement of a temporary arch on the same day. Walk in with damaged teeth, walk out with a new smile.
WHY DENTAL IMPLANTS
The closest thing to your natural teeth.
Look and feel natural
A dental implant blends in with your natural teeth. You can eat, laugh, and speak without thinking about it.
Protect neighboring teeth
Unlike a bridge, a dental implant doesn't require grinding down healthy teeth on either side. Your other teeth stay exactly as they are.
Preserve bone structure
When a tooth is missing, the bone underneath starts to shrink. A dental implant stimulates the bone the same way a natural root does, keeping your jaw and face shape intact.
Built to last
With proper care, a dental implant can last for decades. It's often the most cost-effective long-term solution for missing teeth.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
From placement to final crown, most cases take three to six months. The bone needs time to fuse with the implant before we add the permanent crown. In some cases we can attach a temporary tooth right away so you’re not walking around with a gap.
The procedure itself is done under local anesthesia and sedation options are available. Most patients say it’s easier than they expected. Any soreness afterward is usually manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.
Most healthy adults are. You need enough healthy bone in your jaw to support the implant, but even if you’ve lost bone we may be able to do a bone graft first. The best way to find out is a consultation with Dr. Kyger.
Cost depends on how many teeth you’re replacing and whether you need additional procedures like a bone graft. We give honest, up-front pricing and can walk through Cherry financing to spread payments. Insurance often covers part of the treatment.
The same way you care for natural teeth. Brush twice a day, floss daily, come in for regular cleanings and exams. Skip habits that stress your teeth (chewing ice, opening packages with your teeth). If you grind at night, ask us about a night guard.
Coverage varies by plan. Most PPO plans cover part of the crown restoration; fewer cover the surgical placement itself. Our team will pull your benefits and give you a clear estimate before anything starts.
