ABOUT WASH PARK FAMILY DENTAL
Care that starts with getting to know you.
Your dental practice in Denver's Washington Park neighborhood.
Your comfort, health, and priorities belong in the same conversation. At Wash Park Family Dental, Dr. Tim Kyger and our team help you understand your oral health and make informed decisions about your care.
A PERSONAL APPROACH
More than a treatment plan.
You may be here for a routine checkup, a concern you’ve been putting off, or a change you’d like to make to your smile. We want to understand what brought you in before discussing what comes next.
Start with your questions.
Tell us what feels uncomfortable, what matters to you, and what has made dental visits difficult in the past. Those details help guide the conversation.
Understand the recommendation.
Ask what the exam shows, why treatment is being recommended, and what alternatives may be appropriate. A clear explanation is part of your care.
Keep the long view in mind.
A healthy smile needs attention beyond one appointment. Prevention, home care, and follow-up help support your teeth, gums, and restorations over time.
MEET YOUR DENTIST
Dr. Tim Kyger, DMD
Dr. Kyger earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2015. He then completed an advanced residency at the SUMMA Center for Dental Health in Akron, Ohio, with experience in comprehensive care and full-mouth rehabilitation.
His work includes fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restoration, and esthetic dentistry, with an emphasis on care that reflects each patient’s needs.
MEET OUR TEAM
People you can ask.
From scheduling questions to home-care guidance, our team is part of your experience. Get to know the people who help you prepare for your visit and care for your smile.
If you’re unsure who to ask about a treatment recommendation, an estimate, or what to expect next, start with us.
YOUR MOUTH IS PART OF YOUR HEALTH
Comfort. Function. Everyday well-being.
Being able to chew comfortably, care for your teeth, and smile with confidence matters in everyday life. Our approach considers how your oral health affects you, not just how your teeth look.
Tell us when your health changes.
Share your medications, medical conditions, and any changes such as dry mouth, sore gums, or discomfort when chewing. These details can help your dentist understand your needs.
Make room for the bigger picture.
For example, diabetes can increase the risk of gum disease, and gum disease may make blood sugar harder to control. Dental care and medical care work alongside one another; one does not replace the other.
A HEALTHY FOUNDATION
Healthy gums deserve attention, too.
Your gums and supporting bone help hold your teeth in place. Gum disease can develop without obvious pain, which is one reason regular evaluation matters.
Notice the changes.
Bleeding, swelling, tenderness, receding gums, persistent bad breath, or loose teeth are reasons to arrange an evaluation. An exam helps determine the cause and what kind of care is needed.
Understand the difference.
Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums that can often be reversed with appropriate care. Periodontitis affects the tissues and bone supporting the teeth and needs professional treatment and ongoing management.
Build habits that support your care.
Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth regularly. Ask the team which tools, cleaning appointments, and follow-up schedule fit your oral health.
A PLACE TO FEEL INFORMED
Modern tools. A human conversation.
Digital images and scans can help us explain what we see and discuss your options. The goal is not simply to show you a screen, but to make the next step easier to understand.
Explore the technology used in the practice, or take a closer look at the office before your appointment.
Tell us what would help.
If you’re anxious about dental care, have a sensitive gag reflex, or have had a difficult experience, let us know. We can discuss your concerns before treatment.
Questions about comfort or sedation are welcome. The options depend on your health and the procedure being considered.
GETTING STARTED
Practical questions are welcome.
Not sure what to bring, how insurance works, or where to find forms? Our New Patient Information page brings those details together in one place.
Before agreeing to treatment, ask what is included in the estimate and how your insurance benefits may apply. Coverage depends on your plan.
No dental insurance?
Ask the team about the practice’s membership plan and current payment options. Confirm the terms and eligibility before enrolling.

COMMON QUESTIONS
A little more about getting started.
Start by telling us your concerns and what has kept you from coming in. An evaluation helps establish where things stand and what the next steps may be. You do not need to know which treatment you need before making an appointment.
No. Describe your concern when you contact the office so the team can help you arrange an appropriate visit. For urgent pain, swelling, or an injury, call rather than waiting for a response to an online inquiry.
Tell the team about medications, allergies, medical conditions, and recent health changes. Mention dry mouth, gum changes, dental anxiety, and any previous problems with treatment or anesthesia.
Start with our New Patient Information page. If you cannot find what you need or have a question about your coverage, contact the office before your appointment.
Contact the clinician or office that provided your treatment and follow their procedure-specific instructions. If we treated you, call 303-778-7707. For a serious or life-threatening emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.
